 MovieScore Media Sweden was formed by Mikael Carlsson in November 2005. It's a company devoted to the art of film music at its best. Since the launch of the soundtrack label in January 2006, MovieScore Media has released over 20 score albums from films produced in USA, UK, Sweden, Germany and Netherlands, presenting the music of composers such as the Academy Award-nominated Dario Marianelli and the Ivor Novello Award-winning Francis Shaw as well as a large number of young talents such as Caine Davidson, Benjamin Wallfisch, Brett Rosenberg, Edmund Butt and Anthony Lledo. Among MovieScore Media's releases are Skinwalkers, An American Haunting, Half Light, The Dark, Land of the Blind, Evil, and Dear Wendy.
In 2007, MovieScore Media also launched its new online film music store, Film Music Downloads, where film scores released independently by film composers and small film companies is offered customers world-wide in high audio quality format. Soundtracks released by other film music labels will be incorporated into the store in the near future.
MovieScore Media also offers film music consultant services to symphony orchestras looking for a high quality film and game music reportoire. So far, clients have included the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, the Malmö Symphony Orchestra and the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
